IPL/Laser Hair Removal

Forget shaving, waxing, tweezing and electrolysis – Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology provides long-lasting hair removal on any area of the body. IPL photoepilation uses high-energy pulses of light to remove unwanted hair from the face, back, legs, bikini line and other areas without damaging nearby tissue. First, a cold gel is applied to the skin. Then the IPL hand piece is moved back and forth across the selected area. Hair beneath the skin surface absorbs the light and heats up, loosening from the follicles and eventually falling out. Patients can return to work and all regular activities immediately after the procedure. Hair begins immediately and is long-lasting, with some permanent thinning. Several treatments may be desired for optimal results.

IPL Photorejuvenation

The natural consequences of aging on our skin include sun damage, freckles, age spots, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and redness caused by broken capillaries and rosacea. Photorejuvenation reduces these signs of aging using non-invasive, painless pulses of light. Treatments can also improve the appearance of birthmarks and uneven pigmentation and stimulate the production of collagen. There is no recovery time and low risk of complications. Multiple sessions of about 20 minutes each are performed every few weeks until the desired result has been achieved.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Volume-Enhancing Fillers

FDA approved filler Restylane®, Radiesse®, Juvèderm™, are safe and effect treatments that can restore volume and fullness to skin. Soft tissue fillers are injected under the skin to "plump up," contour and smooth wrinkles, lines and hollow areas in the face and augment the lips or cheeks for a younger, fuller appearance.

Spider Vein Treatments

Spider veins are visible red or blue blood vessels that spread like a web across the skin, commonly on the face and legs. They are not usually harmful but they can be painful. It is not entirely known what causes spider and varicose veins, although likely factors are heredity, pregnancy and hormones. The standard treatment for spider and varicose veins is sclerotherapy. A special solution is injected into the blood vessel, which then collapses and is absorbed by the body. Alternative treatments include laser or intense pulsed light therapy, surgical stripping and ambulatory phlebectomy.

Thermage™

Thermage™ is a quick, easy and non-invasive alternative to a face lift. Using painless radiofrequency energy, Thermage "lifts" and tightens loose and sagging skin to restore youthful vigor to patients' faces. The Thermage device stimulates collagen production and temporarily reduces wrinkles while keeping the skin surface cool and comfortable. There is no incision or recovery time. Results last about two years—much longer than you can expect from BOTOX® or tissue fillers like collagen. Thermage may be used to tighten skin in any area of the body.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. The particles scrape away the surface layer of aging or damaged skin, which is then brushed off with the microdermabrasion vacuum tool with no need for anesthesia. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths to produce healthy, glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.

VISIA Digital Skin Analysis

The VISIA Complexion Analysis system scans your skin and capture key visual information, using multi-spectral imaging analysis of fixed area that effects you skin's health and appearance. We use the VISIA to measure your skin pigmentation, pore size, bacteria, UV spots, photo damage, texture and wrinkles. With this assessment of your skin we compare you skin's feature to other individual of the same sex, age, and skin type and provide you with your relative skin condition within your peer group. We then prepare you personal skin care regime and rejuvenation program.
